The Irene Gold Chiropractic Scholarship, jointly supported by the New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC) and the New Zealand Chiropractors’ Association (NZCC), aims to assist a chiropractic student who has notably contributed to their community and who is experiencing financial challenges. This scholarship seeks to empower future community leaders, particularly those who are experiencing financial hardship, to become chiropractors and make a significant contribution to their communities and the chiropractic profession. Benefits: The scholarship provides the following benefits:
  • A living cost stipend of $10,000
  • Ongoing individual mentorship and guidance throughout the scholarship year.
Selection Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • A new or current student of the NZCC
  • Demonstrates evidence of financial hardship
  • Exhibits a history of community involvement with a commitment to continuing to serve their community and the chiropractic profession following graduation as a chiropractor
  • Demonstration of leadership in their school or community
  • Highly values mentorship and personal and professional growth
  • Displays academic merit
  • Be eligible to enrol as a student at NZCC
  • Shows a strong motivation to train as a chiropractor
